Desert National Park is famous for the conservation of the Great Indian Bustard, one of the most endangered bird species in the world.

डेजर्ट नेशनल पार्क ग्रेट इंडियन बस्टर्ड नामक अत्यंत लुप्तप्राय पक्षी के लिए प्रसिद्ध है।
यह राष्ट्रीय उद्यान राजस्थान के थार मरुस्थल क्षेत्र में स्थित है और यहाँ की घासभूमि तथा अर्ध-शुष्क जलवायु इस पक्षी के लिए उपयुक्त आवास प्रदान करती है। आवास नष्ट होने, शिकार और बिजली की तारों से टकराने के कारण इसकी संख्या बहुत कम हो गई है।
