26 – 95 – 21, 20 – 15 – 51, 16 – 45 – 21, 22 – 67 – 22

Three of the following four options are alike in a certain way and thus form a group. Which is the one that does NOT belong to that group?

(NOTE: Operations should be performed on the whole numbers, without breaking down the numbers into its constituent digits. E.g. 13 – Operations on 13 such as adding/subtracting/multiplying etc. to 13 can be performed. Breaking down 13 into 1 and 3 and then performing mathematical operations on 1 and 3 is not allowed.)

Options:
a) 26 – 95 – 21
b) 22 – 67 – 22
c) 20 – 15 – 51
d) 16 – 45 – 21

SSC CGL Exam Paper September 2024 : General Intelligence and Reasoning

Solution:

Three of the four options are alike in a certain way and thus form a group. We have to find, which is the one that does NOT belong to that group?

Logic:
All first number 26,22,20,26 are multiple of 2
Second Number 95,15,45 are multiple of 5, but 67 is not
Third Number 21,51,21 are multiple of 3, but 22not

Correct Answer: Clearly option b) 22 – 67 – 22 does NOT belong to that group, Hence it is correct answer.
