High Courts, the highest courts of appellate jurisdiction within each state or Union Territory. The Indian Constitution, under Article 214, mandates the existence of at least one High Court for every State or Union Territory. Furthermore, Article 231 allows for the possibility of a single High Court serving the needs of two or more states. At present, India hosts a total of 25 High Courts.

1. Allahabad High Court

- Established in 1869, it is one of the oldest High Courts in India.
