How many minutes will Radha take to cover a distance of 1950 m, if she runs at a speed of 26 km/h?

Options
a) 7 \frac 12 minutes
b) 4 \frac 12 minutes
c) 3 \frac 12 minutes
d) 5 \frac 12 minutes

Solution

As per question
D = 1950 m
S = 26 km/h
T = ?
T = \frac DS
26 km/h = 26 \times \frac{1000}{60}=  \frac{2300}{60} =  \frac{1300}{3} m/min.
T = \frac DS
T = 1950 \div \frac {1300}{3}
T = 1950 \times \frac {3}{1300}
T = \frac {5850}{1300}
T = \frac {9}{2}
T = 4 \frac 12 min.

Answer: 4 \frac 12 min.
