The first meeting of the Constituent Assembly of India was held on 9 December 1946. Dr. Sachchidananda Sinha was appointed as the temporary Chairman (Temporary President) and presided over the inaugural session of the Assembly.

भारत की संविधान सभा की पहली बैठक 9 दिसंबर 1946 को आयोजित हुई थी। इस बैठक की अध्यक्षता डॉ. सच्चिदानंद सिन्हा ने अस्थायी अध्यक्ष (Temporary President) के रूप में की थी।
