The average height of 20 students of class 8 is 152 cm and the average height of 15 students of class 9 is 168 cm. What is the average height (to the nearest cm) of the students of both classes?

As per question
The average height of 20 students of class 8 = 152 cm
The average height of 15 students of class 9 = 168 cm
Average = \frac {sum of all observation}{No. of all observation}
Class 8 of total height = 152 x 20 = 3040 cm
Class 9 of total height = 168 x 15 = 2520 cm
Total No. of students of both classes = 20 + 15 = 35
Total height of all students of both classes = 3040 + 2520 = 5560 cm
Average height = \frac{5560}{35} = 158.85 cm = 159 (to the nearest cm)
