SSC Constable GD Exam Paper – 21 Feb 2024 (1st Shift)

Seating arrangement step-by-step:

  1. Q is at one of the extreme ends and since all the girls are facing towards the south, if Q is at the left end, then P must be placed four seats to the left of Q. However, this would not be possible as there are only seven girls. So, Q must be at the right end.
  2. P is fourth to the left of Q. So, if Q is at the 7th position, then P must be at the 3rd position.
    Row: _ _ P _ _ _ Q
  3. Q and R are immediate neighbors of each other. Since Q is at the 7th position, R must be at the 6th position.
    Row: _ _ P _ _ R Q
  4. U is not the immediate neighbor of either P or R. Therefore, U cannot be in the 2nd, 4th, or 5th positions. So, U must be at the 1st position.
    Row: U _ P _ _ R Q
  5. S is second to the right of V. Since all are facing south, S must be placed to the left of V. The only possible positions for V and S are 4th and 2nd respectively.
    Row: U S P V _ R Q

Thus, the only position left for T is the 5th position.

Final arrangement: U S P V T R Q

Answer: The girl sitting immediately to the right of R is Q.
